Licensing Agreement

Current as of August 17, 2025

What this license cover

Pent Library provides “Components” (sections, blocks, snippets, templates, JavaScript, CSS, images, and documentation) that you can use to build Shopify storefronts. Your license is per Store. A “Store” means one Shopify store identified by its Shopify store ID and/or primary domain. A Store licensed through the Pent Library app is an “Authorized Store.” An “End Product” is your customized storefront or theme within an Authorized Store.

Where you can use it

You may install and use the Components on your Authorized Store(s). Within each Authorized Store, you can use the Components across unlimited themes, including duplicates, development, staging, preview, and unpublished themes. If you’re an agency or freelancer, the license attaches to your client’s Store; each Store needs its own license.

Using Pent Library

You may modify the Components to create and maintain your End Product for each Authorized Store. You may deliver the End Product to your client, so long as you don’t hand over the Components as standalone source files. Reasonable backups, exports, and version-control copies are allowed for internal use tied to the same Authorized Store.

Things you may not do
  • Use, install, copy, or move the Components to any Store that isn’t licensed.
  • Copy Components from one Store and reuse them on another Store without purchasing another license.
  • Redistribute, resell, sublicense, share, or publish the Components (or substantial parts) as source files, templates, starter repos, libraries, or design systems.
  • Include Components in any open-source/public repository or any product whose primary value is access to the Components.
  • Use the Components to build or train a competing product or service (including component libraries, generators, marketplaces, or AI/LLM-based builders/agents or code generators). You may use general‑purpose coding assistants solely to develop End Products for Authorized Store(s) provided you do not upload Components to services that train on user content, any processing is transient and does not expose Components to third parties, and outputs do not reconstruct or redistribute the Components.
Updates and support

We may provide updates and support at our discretion. Features may change or be discontinued.

Transfers and domain changes

Licenses are per Store. You can move a license to the same Store after a domain change if the app allows it or we approve it in writing. If Store ownership changes, the license stays with that Store unless canceled through the app.

Term and termination

This license lasts until it’s terminated. We may terminate immediately if you breach these terms. After termination, you must stop using the Components and remove any accessible source copies. End Products already deployed on Authorized Store(s) may continue to operate, but you may not expose Component source.

Warranty and liability

The Components are provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind (express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non‑infringement). To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages (including lost profits, revenue, data, or business interruption), even if advised of the possibility. Our total liability for all claims is limited to the fees you paid for the license (or, for subscriptions, the fees paid in the twelve (12) months before the event). Some jurisdictions don’t allow certain disclaimers or limits; where they apply, this section applies only to the maximum extent permitted by law.

Governing law

This agreement is governed by the laws of Sweden. Courts in Stockholm, Sweden have exclusive jurisdiction.
