Shopify page templates without a page builder
Build Shopify pages with ready-made templates and the theme editor. Learn how templates, page content and section allowances fit together before you install.
Start with the layout you need
A Shopify page template defines the layout used by a page. Sections provide the individual parts of that layout, such as a hero, image-and-text block or FAQ. A template is useful when you want a complete starting point rather than assembling every section yourself.
Pent Library offers 30 ready-made page templates that you can preview with your branding. You finish setup and content changes in Shopify’s theme editor. This suits stores that want to keep their everyday editing in Shopify.
Choose, preview, then install
- Choose the page’s job: introduce the brand, explain a product, organize a collection or support a campaign. Pick a template for that page type.
- Preview the layout with your colors and fonts. Check both desktop and mobile before deciding how much content you need.
- Check your plan and section allowance. Templates use the allowance for their included sections; a template is not simply one installed section.
- Follow the installation steps, then replace sample content and images in the theme editor. Home pages use guided setup.
- For a standard page, assign the template to the intended page and preview the published theme before sharing the URL.
Keep shared layouts in mind
Several pages can use the same template. Before changing its structure, check which pages share it. If a campaign needs a different layout, create a separate template rather than unintentionally changing every page using the original.
Our guides cover creating a page template and assigning a template to a page. Review Free and Full Access before installing: Free includes template previews and up to two installed sections; Full Access includes page templates and unlimited installed sections.
When a separate builder may fit better
If your project depends on a specific builder’s editing tools or integrations, evaluate those requirements directly. Choose a native template workflow when the available sections and theme editor controls cover the layout you need. Test one representative page before rebuilding the whole store.
